Overdue Love Letter

Minus the saliva on paper

The hesitant comma

Barely smeared

Impatient still

Signed and dated

Sealed

I offer every swerve

Soft wrist and stiff neck

Dear,

This is my wet black ink

    Dear Ana,

I have written a few poems in Spanish, though I don’t think they are very good. I believe that is because Spanish is not my first language. My husband lived in Colombia for a couple of years.I would love to visit there some day. Who knows.

    Regards,
    Pamela

Hi, I was wondering if I could ask you where you are from.I see you write poetry in Spanish and I live in Mexico, and have for almost 13 years now. I am simply curious.

…have you seen this before? I know of no better definition. This is not the full section on the topic.

“Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.”

    (1 Corinthians 13:4-8 ESV)
